 WHEN:   CLASS 1 – February 23 - March 4, 5, 6 & 11, 12

                CLASS 2 – March 9 – March 18, 19, 20 & 25, 26

                 CLASS 3 – April 13 – April 22, 23, 24 & 29, 30    

        WHERE:   The McCallie School Sports and Activities Center 
 
COST:    $270 per person, ($170 non-refundable deposit required) 
 
CERTIFICATION:  Lifeguarding, Professional Rescuers CPR, AED and First Aid 
 
CLASS SIZE:   9 people per class 
 
AGE REQUIREMENT: 15 years of age by the end of class  
 
ID:    Please bring proof of age ID 
 
WATER TEST:  You must be able to swim 300 yards without stopping using freestyle with rotary breathing and good head position and breast stroke with a proper kick; swim 20 yards, pick up a 10 lb. brick from 7 ft. depth and bring the brick back to start in 1:50; tread water for 2 minutes without using your hands. These will be done at the first class. Be ready! IF YOU FAIL THE SWIM TEST WE WILL KEEP YOUR DEPSOIT. If you are not sure you can pass the swim test you are welcome to come by and do a swim test before signing up for the class. 
 
The course will meet on a Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Participants are required to attend ALL CLASS MEETINGS (NO EXCEPTIONS).  Friday sessions are at 5 to 9 p.m. / Saturday sessions are 1:30 to 6 p.m.  Sunday sessions are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 
 
You will have to do 7 hours of online course work BEFORE the class starts. The class is at the Red Cross Learning Center. You use your email address to access and launch the class. If you have never done a Red Cross Class you will have to create a password. It is at redcrosslearningcenter.org. 
 
A $170.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot in the class. If you fail the swim test or miss any classes you will lose your deposit. If you fail the swim test you may move to the next class if there is room. Please mail me a check to McCallie School made out to McCallie School, 500 Dodds Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404. Put it to attention Stan Corcoran. You will be enrolled as soon as we receive the check. McCallie students can be billed for the class through the school.
