8 & Under Girls Repeat as District Champs!

Scenic City Aquatic Club 8 & under Girls Claim District East Championship

Over 20 teams competed in the District East Championship Swimming Meet this weekend in Chattanooga.   Scenic City Aquatic Club  8 & under girls scored nearly twice as many points as the 2^ndplace team to repeat as champions (also champions in the 2011). 

"These girls did an outstanding job this weekend and season.  Repeating as champions was a goal of the coaches and the swimmers at the beginning of the year.  I am proud of the girls for overcoming some adversity and their commitment to the season.  The future looks great for Scenic City girls after dominating the District Championship meet for the past two years" - Coach Roger Dahlke

Ellie Taliaferro was the High Point winning 8 & under girl leading the way for a great 8 & under girls squad.  Ellie set two new team records during the meet.

The 8 & unders were 1^stand 2^ndin the 100 Medley Relay and 1^stand 4^thin the 100 Free Relay.
