Excel Aquatics Meet of Champs - December 3-5 in Brentwood - Great weekend in Nashville! Scenic City had around 40 swimmers compete this year at the Meet of Champions (this is about twice the number from last year) and had a great time competing. Several swimmers made new Southeastern Qualifying Times, Best Times, or got to compete in Finals. Spooky Meet Results Nearly 100 swimmers entered in our 2nd Annual Spooky Intersquad Meet. Plenty of candy for the swimmers! Thanks to all the parents that volunteered as timers, to be trained on the Daktronics Timing system, to learn the Meet Manager software, for helping distribute the candy. Sean Ryan and Stan Corcoran were voted Southeastern Swimming 2010 Athlete of the Year and Coach of the Year by the coaches of southeastern swimming. Sean was the 18 & under National Champion in the 400 Meter Free and 1500 Meter Free, placed 3rd in the 1500 Meter Free at the National Championship Meet, and place 4th in the 1500 Meter Free at the Pan Pacific Championship Meet.
Emily Arnold, April Forsthoffer, McCay Mathis, Kristen Myers, Baron Ammons, Ethan Bevill, and Jake Marcum all earned this honor with their performances at the July 2010 LC Southeastern Championship Meet.

Fun Meet Results - Nearly 90 swimmers signed up for this years Fun Meet! Thanks to all the volunteers! Several people got trained for new things and it was nice to see many new faces timing. It takes a great deal of work to run meets so make sure you are doing your part - next chance to volunteer is our October Meet (October 9 & 10).
Congratulations to Sean Ryan - 4th place finish in the 1500 SM Free in Dubai at the Short Course World Championships. His next International Competition will be in the World University Games held in China in August. Sean will also have a full year of competition at Michigan.
